Prior to Auditions

Memorize and rehearse the below section of the Chorus' Prologue from Romeo and Juliet.

-Come to the Studio Theatre during one of the below dates/times to be filmed acting/reciting it by Diego Pedroza. Please wear a black shirt and look 'camera-ready' - whatever that means to you!***
-These filmed text auditions will be viewed by Prof. Dobby as part of the audition process, and will also used in a promotional video for the production, once the cast is determined.
-An example video is posted below***

-NOTE: There may be a large 'filmic' aspect to this production, so this video will help me determine who can handle text, memorization and 'acting on camera!'
-NOTE 2: If no punctuation exists at the end of a line, continue speaking directly into the next line.  Only pause between lines if punctuation is present.  And "doth" is pronounced "duth" and "piteous" is pronounced "pity-ous."

CHORUS PROLOGUE

Two households, both alike in dignity
(In fair Verona, where we lay our scene),
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life;
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Doth with their death bury their parents' strife.

PROLOGUE FILMING TIMES IN THE STUDIO THEATRE:

Tuesday, 11/26
10:00am-12:00pm
4:00-6:00pm
